ROSEN Group is a global technology and services company headquartered in Stans, Switzerland, specializing in the integrity management of pipelines, pressure vessels, tank farms, refineries, and other critical energy infrastructure. Founded in 1981 by Hermann Rosen in Lingen, Germany, the company moved its headquarters to Stans in 2000. ROSEN develops, manufactures, and operates robotic in-line inspection (ILI) tools — commonly known as pipeline pigs — equipped with magnetic flux leakage, ultrasonic, eddy current, and geometric sensors to detect corrosion, cracks, wall thickness variations, and deformation in pipeline walls.
The company's autonomous robotic systems address non-piggable pipelines that conventional ILI methods cannot access. Beyond pipelines, ROSEN provides inspection services for spiral pipes, marine risers, and other complex industrial assets. With more than 3,800 employees operating across 120+ countries, ROSEN serves major oil and gas operators, utilities, and energy infrastructure owners globally.
In November 2023, Partners Group acquired the former family-owned business. The company's headquarters at Obere Spichermatt 14, 6370 Stans also houses group management, strategic planning, and technology development.
