Robert Bosch Manufacturing Solutions GmbH (BMG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, established in 2017 and headquartered at Wernerstraße 51, 70469 Stuttgart, Germany. BMG operates as a global turnkey industrialization and automation partner delivering intelligent assembly and testing systems, advanced manufacturing process technologies, digital engineering, and lifecycle services. With over 100 assembly lines deployed worldwide and more than 20 years of combined expertise within the Bosch group, BMG integrates joining, laser, dispensing, handling, robotics, and inspection technologies into modular, scalable production systems.
The company's primary target markets are eMobility (rotors, stators, e-machines), battery production (cell formation, laser welding, electrode handling), hydrogen and fuel cell systems (electrolysis, PEMFC, SOFC, water purification), and sensors and electronics. BMG offers its Nexeed Automation platform for machine connectivity and the BMG Intelligent Production Suite (IPSuite), which includes the AI-powered Machine Operation Optimum (AIMO) module — an embedded AI system that continuously learns relationships between process parameters and product quality to keep machines within their optimal operating window without manual tuning. The Universal Machine Connector (UMC) App, available on the Bosch Rexroth ctrlX OS Store, enables secure and scalable OT/IT data exchange across production equipment.
BMG maintains nine locations worldwide, including a subsidiary called Moehwald and a dedicated China operations unit (BMG China). The Board of Management comprises Günter Krenz, Dierk Göckel, Sven Hamann, and Johannes von Ardenne.
