Rixan Associates, Inc.
Founded 1959, Dayton OH; authorized distributor and integrator of FANUC, Mitsubishi, and DENSO robots; acquired by Hunkar Technologies 2017.
Rixan Associates, Inc. is a full-service industrial automation company founded in 1959 and headquartered at 7560 Paragon Road, Dayton, Ohio 45459. With over six decades of operation, Rixan is one of the longest-established robot distributors and system integrators in the United States Midwest.
Rixan is an authorized distributor and integrator for FANUC, Mitsubishi Electric, and DENSO robots, and holds authorized repair center status for both DENSO and Mitsubishi systems. The company provides end-to-end automation services: robot sales and application consulting, turn-key system integration, custom automation cell design, programming, vision system integration, user interface development, and ongoing service and repair for industrial robot installations.
In August 2017, Hunkar Technologies, Inc. acquired Rixan Associates, Inc. The company subsequently reorganized as Rixan Automation LLC, a subsidiary of Hunkar Technologies, but continues to operate from its Dayton, Ohio location and to serve manufacturers across the upper Midwest United States. Rixan Automation serves as a Regional Support Center for DENSO Robotics, indicating a designated regional service and distribution territory.
Customer base primarily consists of manufacturing companies in Ohio and surrounding Midwest states requiring industrial robot integration for assembly, material handling, welding, machine tending, and palletizing applications. The company also offers robotics training programs for customer engineers and technicians.
Rixan's primary value proposition is local expertise and support for major Japanese robot OEM brands in a geography not directly served by OEM field offices — a classic authorized distributor and system integrator model common in North American industrial automation.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Robotic Assembly & Handling Cells
Engineered SCARA/robotic automation cells for assembly and handling using Mitsubishi and DENSO robots.
FlexMation II SCARA Training System
Compact SCARA robotic training system with curriculum and modules for schools and technical institutions.
