Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec unit of Premier Tech, founded 1923; builds robotic palletizing, bagging and packaging lines, including the TOMA cobot palletizer.
Premier Tech Systems and Automation is the systems and automation business group of Premier Tech, a Canadian company founded in 1923 and headquartered in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. The group designs, manufactures and integrates equipment for bagging, packaging and palletizing used on food, agriculture, building-materials and chemical production lines, and has built robotic palletizing cells around FANUC industrial robots.
In 2024 the group introduced TOMA, a separate product brand aimed at manufacturers adopting their first robotic palletizing cell. The initial TOMA product, model PAL-0830, pairs a FANUC CRX-30iA collaborative robot arm rated for payloads up to 30 kilograms with a 19-inch touchscreen and Premier Tech's MOVN software, which lets operators set up pallet patterns without writing robot code. The cell palletizes boxes, bags and pails, cycles at up to about eight picks per minute, builds pallets to roughly 2 meters in height, and can draw from up to two integrated infeed conveyors; the robot arm carries an IP67 rating and its control cabinet is rated IP54.
Premier Tech Systems and Automation continues to build conventional high-throughput palletizers and complete end-of-line packaging lines alongside the TOMA line, and in 2026 opened an additional facility in Apodaca, near Monterrey, Mexico, to support growth in Latin America.
