PRE-TEC is a robotics and automation systems integration division of The Willamette Valley Company (WVCO), an Arclin Brand, headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. PRE-TEC was established in 1980 as the Precision Technologies Division of WVCO, originally created to supply accurate chemical-metering equipment for WVCO's product applications. Over subsequent decades it diversified into industrial robotics and has grown to become recognized as the largest custom robotics integrator on the West Coast of the United States, with automated solutions deployed worldwide.
PRE-TEC specializes in turnkey material handling and manufacturing automation solutions that combine multi-axis robot arms, custom end-of-arm tooling, conveyance systems, and safety hardware. Its solution categories include collaborative robot (cobot) applications, building material applications, welding and material joining automation, marking and coding systems, and other special applications. The company follows a structured project delivery process: initial needs assessment and conceptual design, engineering review and 3D solid modeling for customer visualization, full system assembly and factory acceptance testing at its Eugene facility, and on-site installation and commissioning.
Customers may visit the shop at any stage of design and manufacturing. PRE-TEC holds A3 (Association for Advancing Automation) Certification and maintains ISO compliance and WQS compliance. The parent company, Willamette Valley Company, was founded in 1952 and is a privately owned multinational corporation with operations in the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia, and South America.
