Outsight is a Paris-based LiDAR software company whose real-time 3D platform tracks people, vehicles and robots at airports, rail hubs and industrial sites.
Outsight is a French software company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Paris that turns LiDAR data into real-time spatial intelligence. Its platform tracks the movement of people, vehicles and robots anonymously, without capturing images, faces or licence plates, and works with LiDAR sensors from any manufacturer (the company counts more than 210 compatible sensor models), optionally fused with cameras, Wi-Fi and business data such as flight schedules or point-of-sale records.
The core product is the Motional Digital Twin, a live 3D replica of a site with playback, custom KPIs, alerts, dashboards and reports. Supporting modules include a real-time processing layer for tracking, classification and interaction detection, a multi-vendor 3D simulator used to evaluate sensor layouts before deployment, digital twin creation from scans or existing BIM models, the Outsight Insights analytics dashboard and an open API for integration partners. The company states centimetre-level tracking precision and processing latency below 50 ms. For robotics, its "Beyond Line-of-Sight Robotics" offer streams site-wide tracking data to connected robots and autonomous vehicles so they can operate around people through occlusions and blind spots.
Outsight reports deployments on five continents, with more than 283 million persons tracked per year and 76 patents filed. Named customers and references include Groupe ADP, Aeroporti di Roma, Dallas Fort Worth and Changi airports, SNCF, Stellantis, BMW, Toyota, Valeo, Komatsu, TechnipFMC, EDF, DHL and the robotics companies Enchanted Tools and Embotech. Besides Paris it has offices in Sophia-Antipolis, Alicante, San Francisco, Dallas, Singapore and Hong Kong. The platform holds SOC 2, ISO 27001, TISAX and ENS certifications.
In October 2022 Outsight raised USD 22 million in a round co-led by Energy Innovation Capital and Bpifrance's Defense Innovation Fund, with Groupe ADP and existing investors BNP Paribas, SPDG, Demeter, Safran and Faurecia (now Forvia). Its Green LiDAR project received Horizon 2020 funding. Raul Bravo is President and co-founder. Recognitions listed by the company include a CES Innovation Award, an RBR50 Innovation Award, the Inter Airport Europe 2025 Terminal Excellence Innovation Award and inclusion in Gartner's Hype Cycle for Physical AI, 2026.
