Founded by Jaisimha Rao and Arha Padman, the company develops AI-powered field robots using proprietary computer vision branded as Niqo Sense to identify individual plants and deliver precision spot-spraying of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and liquid fertilizers at the plant level. Its flagship products are the Niqo RoboSpray, a self-propelled boom sprayer for crops including cotton and chili peppers, and the Niqo RoboWeeder, an autonomous weeding and thinning robot launched in North America in 2025.
By 2025, Niqo Robotics had sprayed over 180,000 acres for more than 3,000 farmers. The company rebranded from TartanSense to Niqo Robotics in 2022 and has raised $22.2 million across five funding rounds from investors including Omnivore, Blume Ventures, and Fulcrum Global Capital.
