CubeMars focuses on the development, design, and manufacture of quasi-direct drive (QDD) robotic actuators, outrunner brushless DC (BLDC) motors, inrunner frameless torque motors, and high-performance servo modules with integrated encoders and reducers. The proprietary quasi-direct drive technology combines a compact planetary gearbox with a high-torque motor and onboard driver in a single housing, delivering high torque density with low reflected inertia — a design philosophy well-suited for compliant and force-controlled robotic joints.

The flagship AK Series Robotic Actuators include several models:

  • AK80-9 V3.0 (KV100): 9:1 planetary gear, rated torque 9 Nm, peak torque 22 Nm, weight ~490 g, 48 V, torque density ~44.9 Nm/kg.
  • AK10-9 V3.0 (KV60): 9:1 planetary gear, rated torque 18 Nm, peak torque 53 Nm, weight ~0.96 kg, torque density ~50 Nm/kg.
  • AK40-10: 10:1 planetary gear, weight ~200 g, peak torque 4.1 Nm, torque density 20.5 Nm/kg.

All AK Series modules integrate BLDC motor, gearbox, and driver board, support MIT (MIT Cheetah-style) and servo control modes, include dual encoders, and feature built-in protection for overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overheating. CAN bus communication is standard.
