MyDefence A/S is a Danish manufacturer of radio-frequency (RF) counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), best known for wearable drone detectors and jammers carried by individual soldiers. The company is headquartered at Bouet Møllevej 5 in Nørresundby, near Aalborg, and LinkedIn lists it as founded in 2013. According to the company, the idea came about in 2009 with co-founder and former CEO Christian Steinø and was first aimed at radio-controlled improvised explosive devices. In 2013 the team defined the core technology for detecting and jamming wireless signals and began development with the Danish Defence. It later moved its focus from counter-IED to counter-drone. MyDefence groups its portfolio into wearable, on-the-move, perimeter and software products. The wearable line includes the Wingman 103 and 105 RF drone detectors, the Pitbull 101 jammer, a Soldier Kit and the new Wingman Edge. Wingman 103 weighs 1,100 g and detects drones in under 10 seconds at ranges of up to 6 km, depending on RF environment and line of sight. It offers direction finding with ±30° accuracy, is rated IP67 and runs up to 14 hours on a NATO-standard battery. Fitted with the Wideband XF antenna it covers 200 MHz to 6 GHz. It also detects DroneID and Remote ID broadcasts and shares data through an ATAK plugin. Wingman Edge, unveiled in October 2026, weighs under 1 kg. It adds continuous on-device AI spectrum analysis to signature-based detection, so it can classify unknown signals as well as those already in the threat library. It is the first product built on the MyDefence Spectrum Intelligence software layer, marketed under the Spectrum Warrior concept.
The on-the-move line includes the Watchdog 150 and 250 detectors, the Dobermann 151 jammer and the Ridgeback light-vehicle kit. The perimeter line includes Wolfpack, Watchdog 202, Dobermann 121, Dobermann 360 and Boxer. Boxer, launched in June 2026, is a multi-band jammer for fixed sites or vehicles that operates across nine simultaneous frequency bands with a range of up to 10 km. Software products include a Situational Awareness System and a Custom Drone Library.
Customers include armed forces, law enforcement, border control, airports, correctional facilities and critical infrastructure operators. The company states it has more than 5,000 systems deployed and more than 100 customers worldwide. In the 18 months before October 2026 the U.S. Army bought MyDefence wearable drone-detection systems worth a cumulative USD 77 million. In April 2026 MyDefence and partner HighCom secured an A$9.81 million C-UAS contract with the Australian Department of Defence. In September 2026 HighCom signed a NZ$1.96 million contract to supply MyDefence systems to the New Zealand Defence Force. In August 2026 Terma and MyDefence announced expanded cooperation, with an initial focus on counter-drone technologies.
For 2025 MyDefence reported a net profit of DKK 125.4 million and a gross profit of DKK 252.0 million, and said it had financed its growth without relying on external capital. Headcount grew from 52 at the start of 2025 to 135 by May 2026, and the company website now cites 171 employees. MyDefence runs full-scale production in Denmark and in the United States. Its U.S. manufacturing and innovation facility in Oklahoma City opened in February 2026 and is operated by MyDefence (North America) LLC, which is based in Reston, Virginia, and also has an office in Clearwater, Florida. The group also has an innovation hub in Ukraine and offices in the United Kingdom and Singapore.
