Moxa Inc. is a Taiwanese industrial networking and computing company founded in 1987, with its main office in New Taipei City. The company designs connectivity, computing, and communication equipment for industrial automation and states that its equipment is used by four of the world's top five train builders, seven of the top ten wind turbine manufacturers, and three of the top five semiconductor manufacturers.
Product lines include the NPort family of serial device servers, EDS and IKS industrial Ethernet switches, MGate protocol gateways for linking serial and Ethernet-based industrial networks, AWK industrial wireless access points, and EDR secure routers for network segmentation. Several of Moxa's substation-oriented networking products are built to meet IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613, and IEC 60255 standards for power-utility environments, and the company has stated that one of its industrial computers was the first to receive IEC 62443-4-2 certification for embedded device security.
Moxa markets its equipment through distributors across more than 55 countries and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality and environmental management.
