Microway, Inc., incorporated in July 1982 and based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest HPC hardware manufacturers in the United States. Founded originally to develop math coprocessor software for the IBM PC, the company evolved into a designer and manufacturer of high-performance GPU-accelerated computing systems. Key product lines include the WhisperStation GPU workstations — known for near-silent operation while delivering up to two NVIDIA RTX Professional GPUs — and the Navion and NumberSmasher HPC clusters built on AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon platforms.
Microway also offers NVIDIA H100/H200 GPU clusters with InfiniBand networking for large-scale AI and deep learning workloads. The company holds a GSA Schedule contract and is classified as a small, woman-owned business. In 2018 Microway was named NVIDIA NPN HPC Partner of the Year.
