Mammotion is a Shenzhen robotics company that makes wire-free robotic lawn mowers and robotic pool cleaners for households, plus autonomous mowers for commercial grounds. Its press boilerplate gives January 2022 as the founding date and says its core members came from robotics and drone companies, drawing on seven years of chassis experience at AgileX Robotics; its own timeline traces development back to 2016, with the first all-wheel-drive LUBA chassis prototype in 2018. The privacy policy names the controlling entity as Mammotion Technology Co., Limited.
The company's first product, the LUBA AWD series, launched in April 2022 as an RTK-positioned robotic mower that needs no perimeter wire. Its Kickstarter campaign closed in June 2022 having raised more than 3.37 million US dollars, and LUBA AWD became Amazon's best-selling robotic lawn mower in 2023. LUBA 2 AWD and the YUKA series, a mower that also sweeps and self-empties, followed in January 2024, and LUBA 2 AWD was named a TIME Best Invention of 2024. In 2025 Mammotion introduced the iNavi network RTK service, LUBA mini AWD LiDAR, the vision-only YUKA mini Vision and a Tri-Fusion positioning system that combines LiDAR, RTK and cameras; LUBA 3 AWD and the SPINO S1 Pro arrived in 2026, and LUBA 4 AWD with an optional edge-trimming module was announced in September 2026.
The current mower range is tiered by lawn size: LUBA 4 AWD, LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA 2 AWD for mid to large lawns up to 12,000 square metres; LUBA mini 2 AWD and LUBA mini AWD for mid-size lawns; YUKA mini 2 and YUKA mini for small lawns; and YUKA for mowing with sweeping. As an example, LUBA 3 AWD has a 400 mm dual-disc cutting system, 360-degree LiDAR with up to 70 m detection, dual AI cameras, NetRTK positioning claimed to plus or minus 1 cm, 80 percent slope capability, a 21.6 V 15 Ah battery with up to 215 minutes runtime and IPX6 protection. For professional users the Maston series offers 62 or 68 cm cutting widths, 70 percent slope capability, zero-turn all-wheel drive, Tri-Fusion 2.0 navigation, swappable batteries and multi-site fleet management. Its earlier commercial mower was named KUMAR. The SPINO line covers cordless robotic pool cleaners, starting with SPINO E1 in June 2025.
Mammotion reports more than 900 patents and over 750,000 user households, with sales in more than 30 countries and regions across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific and service centres in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia. Retail channels include Walmart, The Home Depot, Lowe's, OBI and Bauhaus. It cites Frost & Sullivan data ranking it first among wire-free robotic mower brands by global sales revenue for July 2024 to June 2025. Other recognition includes the Pro Tool Innovation Award 2023 and IDEA 2023 for LUBA.
