MAB Robotics

MAB Robotics (MAB Robotics Sp. z o.o.) is a Polish robotics company headquartered in Poznan, Poland, founded as the first spin-off from Poznan University of Technology (PUT). The company specializes in legged robotics and motion control technology, developing mobile platforms and actuator components designed to operate in harsh, human-inaccessible environments.

The company's flagship product is Honey Badger, a quadruped robot platform available in multiple generations. The Honey Badger 4.0 (premiered 2024) is 60 cm long, stands up to 50 cm tall, weighs 12 kg, and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, enabling it to walk, maneuver, and perform complex tasks both above and below water. It achieves a land speed of 1.26 km/h and water speed of 0.576 km/h, and can operate up to 100 meters underground. The robot is equipped with cameras, gas sensors, LiDAR, and modular tool attachments, making it well-suited for inspection of underground industrial infrastructure such as district heating tunnels, sewer systems, and similar environments.

Beyond complete robotic platforms, MAB Robotics also manufactures and sells in-house actuator components—BLDC motors integrated with motor controllers—for use in third-party robotic applications. The company was founded by Jakub Bartoszek, Lukasz Antczak, and Jakub Matyszczak, who began their work in a student research group at PUT.
