Leaficient is a precision agriculture technology company founded in 2022 and headquartered in Evans City, Pennsylvania. The company was co-founded by Brian Stancil and Andy Rape, both robotics and bioengineering experts from Carnegie Mellon University, with the mission to accelerate adoption and profitability of indoor farming through advanced optical sensing technology.

The flagship product is HeliOS, a purpose-built camera system designed for controlled environment agriculture (CEA) including greenhouses and vertical farms. By feeding live photosynthesis measurements from HeliOS into Sollum lighting schedules, growers can run a closed-loop crop management system in which light recipes respond directly to measured plant physiology.
