"Make Your Home Smarter"
Taiwan-based robotics maker founded June 2010 by George Chao; HOBOT window-cleaning and LEGEE floor robots are assembled in Taiwan, sold in 30-plus countries.
HOBOT Technology Inc. is a Taiwan-based consumer robotics company founded in June 2010 by George Chao, who previously worked on CD-RW player design before moving into home robotics. The company designs and assembles its products in Taiwan and sells them in more than 30 countries.
HOBOT's window-cleaning robots use a suction base to hold themselves against glass while dual mop pads reciprocate at up to 600 times per minute, paired with an ultrasonic spray nozzle that produces a mist with roughly 15-micrometer droplets to loosen dirt before wiping. The LEGEE line applies related mopping technology to floors, with pads reciprocating up to 1,300 times per minute and pressing against the floor with about 800 grams of force in a 4-in-1 vacuum-and-mop format. Assembly lines for both product lines are ISO 9001 certified, and the finished units carry CE and FCC marks.
The company holds patents across multiple countries covering its cleaning mechanisms and continues to develop the HOBOT and LEGEE lines as its two main product families.
