HIGEN RNM Co., Ltd. is a South Korean motor and motion-control manufacturer headquartered in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, with a sales office in Seoul and a component factory in Qingdao, China. The business traces to a motor unit of LG Electronics established in 1963, became an independent corporation in 2008, and changed its name from HIGEN MOTOR to HIGEN RNM in 2023 to reflect its expansion into robotics and mobility.
The company manufactures low- and high-voltage industrial motors, servo motors and drives including the H1, FMA and HMA series, robot actuation modules under the HFA-A, HFA-I and HFA-O series for collaborative, mobile, quadruped, humanoid and wearable robots, and electric-vehicle motors and inverters including the eViLV and eVi series. HIGEN RNM was the first company in South Korea to produce servo motors domestically and remains the only Korean maker of servo motors up to the 75-kilowatt class, having built the country's first 75-kilowatt-class servo drive controller, with a 290-kilowatt-class unit under development. Its products carry UL, KS, CE, KGS and TUV certifications and energy-efficiency approvals.
By combining engineering and manufacturing in Changwon with component production in Qingdao, HIGEN RNM supplies motion and actuation components to industrial-automation, robotics and electric-mobility customers across Korea and export markets.
