"Weeding Reimagined."
Hyderabad startup developing Rakshak, a PTO-powered tractor-mounted AI laser weeder trained on Indian crop data; seed-backed by Arali Ventures.
Harvested Robotics, which also operates under the Harvested Labs name, is an Indian agricultural robotics startup based in Hyderabad, Telangana. It was co-founded by Rahul Arepaka (co-founder and CEO) and George Mathew (co-founder and COO), and says its machines are built and manufactured in India.
The company is developing Rakshak, a tractor-mounted AI laser weeding robot designed for Indian farms. Rakshak is pulled by and retrofitted to existing tractors, draws power from the tractor PTO, and uses a modular design intended to fit different bed configurations. Its vision models are trained on Indian agricultural datasets covering local crops, weeds and soils; the system detects weeds, distinguishes them from the crop and eliminates them with a laser, without herbicides or chemical residue. The company describes the workflow as see, understand, eliminate and learn. The product is still in testing and is offered through a waitlist.
Backers include Arali Ventures as seed investor, Anand Mahindra of the Mahindra Group, Chakradhar Gade of Country Delight, and the incubator AIC Mahindra E-HUB. The company also lists support from NVIDIA Inception, Microsoft for Startups, AWS Startups and Kerala Startup Mission.
