Company Overview

GigaAI (also) is a Beijing-based embodied-AI and robotics company founded in 2023 and led by founder and CEO Huang Guan, who previously headed visual perception at autonomous-driving chip firm Horizon Robotics. The company positions itself as a developer of Physical AGI, building foundation models and world models that allow robots and vehicles to act in the real world without task-specific programming, and describes itself as one of China's first startups focused on world-model research for physical AI. Its technology centers on two systems: GigaWorld, a world model that generates simulated environments and data for training robots, and GigaBrain, a model that lets robots understand situations and decide on actions. These models underpin GigaAI's hardware products, including the SeeLight S1, a wheeled household humanoid robot designed to cook, do laundry and tidy homes, and the Maker H01, a fully self-developed industrial humanoid robot.

In late 2025 GigaAI began mass production and delivery of the Maker H01 for data collection, industrial and service scenarios, and it deployed an initial batch of around 100 SeeLight S1 robots into real homes in what Chinese media described as the country's first large-scale real-home trial of a general-purpose household robot. The company has collaborated with FAW Tooling Die Technology, a unit of the FAW Group, to deploy Maker H01 in factory settings. GigaAI has raised substantial venture funding, including a Series B2 round of roughly 1 billion yuan from backers spanning state-linked funds and strategic industrial investors, and it is backed by Huawei's investment arm.
