Company Overview

Frontline Robotics, which earlier traded simply as Frontline, is a Ukrainian defence-tech company that develops and manufactures uncrewed aerial and ground robotic systems for Ukraine's security and defence forces. It describes its goal as an integrated robotic ecosystem for offence and defence. The company was started in 2023 by four co-founders who had previously worked at another Ukrainian defence robotics firm. Yevhenii Tretiak is CEO and Pavlo Kosolapkin is CTO, and Oleksii Markhovskyi has been named as co-founder and chief product officer. Its first work was on electronic-warfare-resistant control modules for FPV and bomber copters, and its proprietary link hops pseudo-randomly across two frequency bands. Frontline Robotics is based in Kyiv, a member of the Brave1 defence-tech cluster, and says more than 60 military units use its systems.

The company's current products are:

  • Linza: a 12-inch EW-resistant multipurpose bomber and logistics quadcopter that carries up to 4 kg of payload on single or dual drop systems. It has a tactical radius of about 15 km, a gyro-stabilized day or thermal camera, and an encrypted digital video link.
  • Zoom: a 12-inch EW-resistant reconnaissance and artillery-correction quadcopter with a tactical radius of up to 15 km and up to 60 minutes of flight. It has 10x optical and 90x hybrid zoom, a 640x512 thermal option, and AI-based visual-inertial navigation with position hold at 50 to 300 m. It can also carry up to 3 kg. The company describes Linza and Zoom as Ukrainian alternatives to commercial DJI Mavic-class drones. Both have been codified in the NATO Codification System with NATO Stock Numbers.
  • Buria (Burya): a remotely operated weapon station for Mk 19, RDS40 and AGL-53 40 mm grenade launchers or the Browning M2 heavy machine gun. It has gyro-stabilization on the move, a built-in ballistic calculator, memory for 256 targets, up to 48 hours of autonomous operation, and a claimed accuracy of 20 cm at 1 km. The first Mk 19 version entered serial production in early 2025. Buria has been integrated on Milrem Robotics' THeMIS UGV, on the Ukrainian ARDAL UGV and on Tencore's TerMIT. Frontline has agreed with Dropla to pair Buria with Dropla's Logist platform.
  • Frodo: a 6x6 UGV unveiled in September 2026 for logistics, casualty evacuation and fire support. It has six independent electric motors, adaptive suspension with 170 to 330 mm ground clearance, airless puncture-proof wheels, a top speed of 40 km/h and up to 150 km of range. It can carry 200 kg as an effective payload or up to 400 kg maximum. One soldier can swap its two quick-release battery packs in about two minutes. It supports Starlink, LTE, Silvus, ELRS and TBS links and has been codified for procurement.

Quantum Systems has also described Frontline as developing a kinetic counter-UAS system.

On funding, Frontline raised a 2023 pre-seed round that included the D3 fund and received Brave1 grants totalling UAH 6 million. In 2025 it closed an USD 800,000 seed round with Nezlamni, Startup Wise Guys, Angel One and Freedom Fund. In July 2025 Germany's Quantum Systems took a 10% stake, with an option to go up to 25%. The two companies then created Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), a German-Ukrainian joint venture that produces Linza and Zoom drones in Germany. In October 2026 QFI received a follow-on order from the National Guard of Ukraine for 2027 deliveries, and it plans to increase its capacity fivefold. Ukrainian media report that Frontline was among the first Ukrainian manufacturers to receive an export licence in 2025.
