Farming Revolution GmbH is a German agricultural robotics company founded in 2019 by Dr. Roland Leidenfrost and four co-founders, headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg. The company develops the Farming GT, an autonomous electric robot that uses AI and computer vision to distinguish crops from weeds and removes them mechanically without pesticides. The AI system is trained on the world's largest annotated plant image database and can recognize over 60 types of crops and more than 100 plant species.
The Farming GT operates at 5 mm precision, can handle up to 10 hectares per day in both inter-row and intra-row positions, and suits both organic and conventional farming. Over 40 robots are currently in operation across more than 1,000 fields in 8 countries including Germany, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain.
