e-Novia S.p.A. is an Italian enterprise factory headquartered in Milan, Lombardia, founded in 2015. The company builds technology ventures by combining intellectual property developed with research institutions and corporations with entrepreneurial talent, focusing on robotics, AI, and mobility. Its portfolio includes over 30 projects backed by more than 50 patents.
The most prominent venture is YAPE (Your Autonomous Pony Express), described as the first self-driving delivery robot entirely designed and built in Italy. YAPE is an autonomous ground robot for last-mile urban logistics, capable of travelling at up to 6 km/h on pedestrian pavements or 20 km/h on cycle paths, with an operational range of approximately 80 km. Its reconfigurable cargo compartment supports parcel and food delivery.
YAPE uses a 3D environment perception system for obstacle avoidance and has been piloted in Italy, in Japan with Japan Post, and in Milan under the Sperimentazione Italia regulatory sandbox from July 2022. e-Novia is listed on the Euronext Growth Milan Professional Segment.
