North American arm of Doosan Bobcat building compact construction equipment and developing all-electric, cab-free autonomous concept loaders (RogueX series).
Doosan Bobcat North America Inc. is the North American operating company of Doosan Bobcat, headquartered in West Fargo, North Dakota. The company designs, manufactures and distributes Bobcat-brand compact equipment including skid-steer and compact track loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders, telehandlers, utility vehicles and attachments used in construction, landscaping, agriculture and grounds maintenance. Beyond its production machines, Doosan Bobcat runs an active autonomy and electrification program shown publicly at CES. It first revealed the RogueX all-electric autonomous concept loader in March 2023 and introduced the RogueX2 at CES 2024; the RogueX2 uses a lithium-ion battery, an electric drive system with electric lift and tilt kinematics and no hydraulics, wheels instead of tracks to extend battery run time, and axial flux motors. At CES 2026 the company presented a third-generation RX3 (RogueX3) concept built around a modular design supporting cab or cab-free configurations, wheels or tracks, configurable lift arms, and electric, diesel, hybrid or hydrogen power.
These RogueX machines remain concept-stage and are not commercially available. The North American headquarters, a 75,000-square-foot office opened in 2017 at 250 East Beaton Drive, supports engineering, sales and operations across the region. Doosan Bobcat North America is part of the larger Doosan Bobcat group, which operates manufacturing and sales entities worldwide and develops connected, smart and autonomous jobsite technologies alongside its established compact machine lineup.
