Cobot One (legal entity COBOT ONE SAS, SIREN 981864812) is a French company that designs and manufactures collaborative robots at its site in the ZAC des Cettons, Chanteloup-les-Vignes (Yvelines). The company states that its cobots are designed and built in France and positions them as cost-controlled alternatives for industrial users.
The company was set up by two founders, described on its website as a robotics specialist and a doctor in neurocybernetics. According to the company timeline, the founders sold industrial robots (desktop, SCARA and gantry types) from 2001, created an industrial robotics business in 2008, began work on the first cobot hardware components in 2014 and launched the cobot software project with the French national research centre CNRS in 2017. A first prototype followed in 2018, nine prototypes were built in total, and the cobot ran in 24/7 beta testing during 2023. COBOT ONE was incorporated in 2024, opened pre-sales in July 2024 and launched commercially in September 2024.
The product range consists of three six-axis cobots: the C06 (3 kg payload, 650 mm reach), the C09 (5 kg, 950 mm) and the C014 (10 kg, 1450 mm). All three share an aluminium structure with 3-5 mm walls, six long-life motors with magnetic brakes rated for 24/7 operation, six zero-backlash planetary gearboxes with a 100:1 ratio, twelve high-resolution encoders, plus or minus 360 degree rotation on every axis, IP54 protection, a noise level below 64 dB, a 5 m cable and 220-240 V supply (110-120 V optional). The company specifies plus or minus 0.1 repeatability per axis, maximum joint torque of 61 N.m (C06) and 133 N.m (C09, C014), and safety functions rated SIL 3, PL e, Category 3. Programming is possible by hand guiding, remotely or by coordinates. An optional sensitive skin that anticipates contact is offered. Typical delivery lead time is one to two weeks, and demonstrations are given in the showroom or by video call.
