"Warehouse automation made easy."
Austin, TX-based warehouse robotics company offering AI-powered autonomous mobile picking robots for ecommerce and grocery order fulfillment via RaaS.
Brightpick is a warehouse robotics company headquartered in Austin, Texas, with more than 250 employees and operational deployments across the United States and Europe. Founded in 2021 by Jan Zizka, Michal Maly, Tomas Kovacovsky, and Branislav Pulis — the same team that previously co-founded Photoneo, a 3D vision and robotic software company subsequently acquired by Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) — Brightpick was built to address the acute labor shortage and throughput demands of ecommerce and grocery order fulfillment. The company's flagship product is the Brightpick Autopicker, the world's first commercially available autonomous mobile picking robot designed to pick, buffer, and consolidate orders directly in warehouse aisles without human intervention.
Unlike goods-to-person systems that require fixed shelving infrastructure or QR markers, Autopicker uses SLAM-based navigation and AI vision trained on more than 250 million picks to navigate freely and pick items from storage totes. The Autopicker 2.0 introduced in-motion picking and upgraded AI, delivering 70–80 picks per hour per robot and achieving 99.9% picking accuracy across grocery, cosmetics, personal care, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and apparel categories. The system can be deployed in under a month and enables customers to reduce picking labor by up to 95% and cut fulfillment costs by half.
In 2026, Brightpick launched Gridpicker, a high-throughput grid-based system powered by AI mobile manipulators. Notable customer deployments include The Feed, which installed 103 Autopicker robots in its Colorado fulfillment center to pick 70,000 items per day, and a strategic partnership with NAPA to expand into automotive aftermarket fulfillment. Brightpick offers its systems via a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model starting from under $2,000 per robot per month, with no large upfront capital requirement.
The company raised $40 million in a Series B round in January 2023, bringing total capital raised to approximately $53 million.
