Bionik Laboratories, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a robotics and healthcare company focused on improving the quality of life for individuals with neurological and mobility impairments. The company develops the InMotion family of robotic rehabilitation devices, which originated from research at the Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation at MIT. The InMotion ARM and ARM/HAND systems provide patient-adaptive robotic therapy for stroke survivors and individuals with spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions.
Using artificial intelligence, the robots assess patient progress in real time and deliver assistance-as-needed. Bionik acquired Interactive Motion Technologies in 2016 to commercialize the InMotion product line.
