Axter Automation SAS is a French designer and manufacturer of automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots, based at 13 rue des Fonds Huguenots, 92420 Vaucresson, west of Paris. Industry directories give a founding year of 1992; the company itself states more than 25 years of experience in mobile robotics.
Three vehicle families are offered. The standard range is an AGV automated forklift for pallets and pallet-sized containers. Special Carriers are AGVs with a built-in lifting device for large or oversized loads, including a 5-tonne carrier. The Intelligent AGC handles totes, boxes and small containers with an integrated lifting deck. An AGV Supervisor system provides real-time communication with the vehicles and manages missions.
The company describes planar and volumetric safety scanning on its vehicles and emphasises durable components and simple, serviceable designs. Projects are taken from concept study through commissioning and post-implementation support, covering assembly lines and factory and warehouse material flows for both small companies and larger industrial groups.
Alongside the French parent, the group operates Axter AGV Ltd in Hong Kong and Axter AGV China Co. Ltd in Shanghai, giving it a direct presence in Asia.
