AVPL International

AVPL International is an Indian unmanned aerial vehicle company headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, founded in 2016 by Deep Sihag Sisai and Preet Sandhuu. The company designs and manufactures DGCA-certified agricultural drones through an in-house research and development division and operates a drone-as-a-service model for farming and industrial customers. Its flagship agricultural platforms, the Viraj and Viraj 2.0, are built for agrochemical spraying and seed broadcasting; the Viraj weighs roughly 25 kg and is used for spraying, seed spreading and remote-pilot training. Beyond hardware, AVPL provides aerial services including topographic mapping, crop-health monitoring, 3D mapping, LiDAR scanning, infrastructure inspection, seed spreading and pesticide spraying across agriculture and industrial sectors.

The company runs an extensive training arm, including the Kisan Drone Operator course, which certifies operators under government-recognized standards and covers drone law, flight operations, safety protocols and maintenance. AVPL states it has trained more than 100,000 youth across India since 2016 and has established drone training labs across the country, including a collaboration with AICTE to set up 30 drone labs. The company is developing a large drone-manufacturing and training campus as part of the Drone City project in Haryana, spanning about 11.5 acres, and has announced investment in defence-focused drone research and development. AVPL combines drone manufacturing, pilot training, and precision aerial services to support adoption of UAV technology in Indian agriculture and allied industries.
