Avatar Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer of robot joint actuators and related motion components based at No. 6 Cuizhu Street in the High-tech Zone of Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It markets its products internationally under the Avatar Robotics name and the atarrobot.com domain, and is listed by Humanoid Guide under the brand AtaroBot. Thirteen frame sizes run from the TD-30-40 (40 mm outer diameter, 1.8 N·m rated torque, about 0.18 kg) to the TD-110-170 (170 mm, up to 363 N·m, about 6.85 kg), with 24-48 V DC supply, CAN, CANopen or EtherCAT communication and, on EtherCAT versions, dual 16-bit and 18-bit encoders rated at better than 0.03 degrees positioning accuracy. Other lines include the hollow-shaft P harmonic actuators (1.8-84 N·m rated, 267 N·m peak), the compact MP planetary actuators (12-120 N·m), the ARC cycloidal actuators for high torque and shock resistance (3-150 N·m rated, 530 N·m peak, CAN FD or Ethernet), the HU harmonic actuator (up to 320 N·m rated, 100 rpm), the MI miniature joint actuators (16-30 mm diameter, 24-133 g), CM coreless micro motors, TH harmonic actuators, standalone harmonic gearboxes and several planetary gearbox series. Customisation options include IP65/IP67 sealing, custom cable length and exit position, low-temperature motors rated to -40 degrees C and impact buffer discs.
Built from these components, the company also sells two complete products. The 6-DOF Intelligent Bionic Hand (models TD-RH-1-L/R and a Bluetooth -BT variant) weighs 480 g, has five fingers with independent finger motion and 90-degree thumb rotation, runs on 12 V DC, communicates over RS485 or CAN and can be programmed in Python, C++ or ROS; Humanoid Guide lists it as in production at about USD 2,100. The T ARM series of small six-axis arms covers 1 kg to 5 kg payloads with 380 mm to 900 mm reach and 0.05 mm repeatability.
