Salt Lake City firm founded 2018 that builds US-made, NDAA-compliant drone flight controllers, GPS and sensors, several listed on Blue UAS.
ARK Electronics is a Salt Lake City, Utah manufacturer of avionics and electronics for drones and other robots, founded in 2018 and registered as ARK Electronics LLC. It designs, manufactures and tests its boards in the United States and sells them through its own online store, positioning the range for defense, commercial and research users that need NDAA-compliant parts. Several of its products are listed on the Blue UAS Framework maintained for the US Department of Defense, most recently the ARK SAM GPS in September 2026.
The catalogue is built around the Pixhawk Autopilot Bus (PAB) standard. Flight controllers include the ARKV6X, ARKV6X-RT, ARKV6S (launched June 2026), an ARKV6X Extended Range variant and an ARK FPV flight controller, plus PAB carrier boards such as a VOXL2 RTK PAB carrier. The ARKV6X uses an STM32H743 processor at 480 MHz with three synchronised IMUs, a Bosch BMP390 barometer, a BMM150 magnetometer and a 1 W heater for cold-weather operation in a 5 g module; it ships with PX4 firmware and can be flashed with ArduPilot. GNSS products span ST, u-blox and Septentrio receivers, from the ARK SAM GPS to RTK units including the ARK RTK GPS L1 L5, ARK MOSAIC-X5 and the mosaic-G5 based G5 P3, P3H, P6 and P8 series, the P6 and P8 launched in October 2026. Sensor modules cover IMUs (ADIS16507, SCH16T), a magnetometer, ARK Flow optical flow sensors and ARK DIST rangefinders. The company also builds electronic speed controllers that run its ARK32 firmware or stock AM32, PAB power modules, LTE and Microhard radio carriers, and carrier boards for NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi compute modules, including the ARK Jetson PAB V3 released in May 2026 and the ARK Just A Pi released in August 2026.
ARK works inside the open-source autopilot ecosystem. It is a Silver member of the Dronecode Foundation and an ArduPilot partner, and collaborates with the PX4, ArduPilot and Betaflight projects. In August 2026 it partnered with SiMa.ai to sell bundles that pair its Jetson-format carriers with SiMa.ai's Modalix MLSoC for on-board AI processing, and from September 2026 its Jetson bundles include the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module. It is a member of 47G, the Utah aerospace and defense industry association. Supporting services include online documentation, a flight log review site, the ARK32 configurator and ARK-OS, which supports u-blox PointPerfect Flex corrections for RTK positioning without a local base station.
The company does not publish its headcount, revenue, ownership or funding, and names no customers on its website.
