"Specialiste de l'IA et de la vision embarquee"
Arcure is a Paris-based maker of Blaxtair, an AI embedded-vision system that detects pedestrians around forklifts, loaders and construction machines.
Arcure SA is a French company specialising in artificial intelligence and embedded vision for industrial and construction vehicles. It was founded in December 2009 by Franck Gayraud (chairman and CEO) and Patrick Mansuy, with the French research bodies CEA and INRS and industrial partners. Its main product line is Blaxtair, a camera-based system mounted on forklifts, wheel loaders, excavators, dumpers and other machines that distinguishes pedestrians from objects in the machine's blind zones and alerts the operator in real time. The first generation of Blaxtair was commercialised in January 2012, the third generation in January 2017, Blaxtair Origin in September 2022, and a fifth-generation AI platform in May 2024.
The current Blaxtair range covers pedestrian detection, vehicle detection, detection of specific obstacles, zoning, shock detection, a digital pre-use checklist and Blaxtair Connect, a fleet data platform launched in November 2020. An ATEX-certified version of the Blaxtair camera for explosive atmospheres was released in December 2020. Arcure also supplies its perception technology to machine OEMs; in September 2014 it signed an OEM partnership with SICK around the Visionary-B 3D vision solution, and in November 2018 it launched the Omega 3D vision sensor. Target sectors listed by the company are industry and logistics, recycling, public works, tunnels, mines and quarries.
The company reached its 4,000th Blaxtair in June 2018 and its 10,000th in July 2021. It reports a sales network in around fifty countries, with 84% of revenue generated outside France, a US subsidiary in Chicago opened in June 2019, commercial offices in Germany, Spain and Asia, and about twenty distributors. Production is carried out in Normandy and the Aisne. Arcure obtained ISO 9001 certification in October 2019 and states that it holds ISO 27001 certification. The company listed on the Euronext Growth Paris market in February 2019 (ticker ALCUR); it reported revenue of EUR 7.6 million in 2019 and EUR 12.6 million in 2025, alongside a strategic pivot toward the industrial embedded-AI market. Arcure employs around sixty people.
