"Restoring Human Mobility Through Wearable Robotics"
Seoul, South Korea wearable-robot maker founded 2017 as a KAIST spinoff; KOSDAQ-listed developer of WalkON Suit and ANGEL LEGS rehabilitation exoskeletons.
Angel Robotics is a Seoul, South Korea-based developer of wearable rehabilitation and mobility-assistance robots. Professor Kyoungchul Kong founded the company in 2017 as a spinoff from KAIST's Robot Systems Control Laboratory, and it has traded on the KOSDAQ exchange since March 2023.
The company organizes its products into four lines: MEDI gait-rehabilitation robots, including the ANGEL LEGS M20 and MW10; SUIT wearable assistance devices such as the ANGEL SUIT H10; GEAR accessories; and KIT component modules. Its earlier WalkON Suit exoskeleton, built for people with complete lower-body paralysis, won first place in the exoskeleton race at Cybathlon 2020. The ANGEL LEGS M20 was the first wearable robot covered by Korean national health insurance and later gained coverage for pediatric cerebral palsy patients. Underlying the product range is proprietary human-intent-recognition and precision motion-control technology, including a compact actuator module the company calls phact.
Angel Robotics has entered the Vietnamese market and takes part in a government-backed program developing brain-signal-integrated wearable robots for people with quadriplegia.
