Andrew Alliance SA was founded in March 2011 in Vernier, Geneva, Switzerland, by a team with over 100 years of combined experience in life science instrumentation. The company developed Andrew, a benchtop articulated-arm robot that automates liquid handling tasks using conventional mechanical pipettes, bridging the gap between manual pipetting and conventional lab automation. Its OneRobot cloud-based software enables researchers to design and execute laboratory protocols with high reproducibility and traceability.
Andrew Alliance served pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and academic laboratories worldwide. In January 2020, the company was acquired by Waters Corporation and now operates as a subsidiary brand. Its headquarters are in Vernier, with offices in Boston and Paris.
