Aligned Vision, headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, is a designer and manufacturer of laser projection and automated inspection systems for composite fabrication management. Originally founded in 1987 as Assembly Guidance Systems Inc., the company developed the LASERGUIDE CAD-directed 3D industrial laser projection system, which guides operators in placing composite plies, fasteners, and tooling with precision. LASERGUIDE is the only laser projection system supporting inspection functions approved by the FAA and US DoD.
The LASERVISION product line provides AI-enabled large-field automatic inspection, using machine learning to verify material position, fiber orientation, and detection of foreign object debris (FOD), including peel ply FOD in bonding applications. The BUILDGUIDE electronic process control system allows engineers to generate a bill of process (BOP) and digital recipes for operator guidance via mobile devices. Aligned Vision's systems are deployed in aerospace, wind energy blade manufacturing, Formula 1 racing composite fabrication, shipbuilding, and automotive composites industries.
