Akeros is a Pessac-based software firm whose patent-pending ISI platform orchestrates KUKA, Fanuc and ABB robots, machine tools, ERP and MES in one interface.
Akeros is a French industrial software company founded in 2016 and based at 215b Avenue Pasteur in Pessac, near Bordeaux. It was co-founded by Aurelien Wulsztat, President and R&D Director, who designs the architecture of the company's platform, and Wendy Lautier, Managing Director, who leads business development and industrial customer relations. The company started at the Bordeaux Technowest technology park in 2016.
Its core product is ISI (Interoperabilite des Systemes Intelligents), a software-only orchestration platform that connects machines, industrial robots, business software and manual workstations into a single production system without replacing equipment or modifying machine code. Akeros cites KUKA, Fanuc, ABB and Siemens equipment among the systems it links, and the platform also connects ERP, MES, WMS and CMMS software through ready-made connectors that the company says deploy in weeks. The platform is patent pending. In 2024 the company launched ISI IA SIM, an AI and simulation module.
The company publishes two customer cases. At Lucas, an industrial SME in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, ISI ties together a Mazak machine, its automation cell and the Sylob ERP on one screen; Akeros reports a 30% productivity gain on the line with no equipment replaced. At Mazak UK (Yamazaki Mazak), a project started in 2025, ISI orchestrates six systems, including Lantek, a stacker crane, AGVs, Hexagon Radan, Dynamics AX and Windchill, and integrates about 30 manual workstations into the production flow through a single real-time interface.
Akeros has taken part in European research projects, winning the AQUA project in 2018 and the GALATEA project in 2021, and received Bpifrance financing in 2022, the same year it partnered with Lucas Robotic. Partners include Technowest, Coboteam, Digital Aquitaine, Robotics Place, ADI Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Aerospace Valley cluster.
