Curitiba-based maker of ROS 2-based AGV/AMR tow tractors and autonomous pallet stackers, 1,600 vehicles in operation in Brazil
AGVS is a Brazilian designer and manufacturer of autonomous industrial vehicles, based in Curitiba, Parana, and building in Brazil since 2012. The company reports 1,600 vehicles delivered and in operation inside factories and distribution centres, and a single plant where 120 of its machines are coordinated together. Mechanical design, electronics and the navigation system are developed in-house.
Two vehicle platforms are published. The G4R3000 is a fourth-generation tow tractor with 3,000 kg towing capacity, 3.5 HP drive, 24 V lithium battery, 6 km/h top speed (40 m/min recommended), an Intel Core i7 controller, multi-layer lidar with IMU and encoders fused on board, a Sick nanoScan3 safety scanner with camera and safety edge, mesh or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and dimensions of 1400 x 750 x 840 mm. It ships in either guided form (inductive wire, magnetic tape, QR code or painted lane) or natural-feature AMR navigation; a 1 t version is also offered. The G3ET1400 is a third-generation autonomous pallet stacker with 1,400 kg capacity, 2 HP drive, 24 V lithium battery, 75 m/min top speed, an Intel Core i5 controller and SLAM navigation that needs no tape, reflectors or floor work; dimensions are 1600 x 600 x 2000 mm.
Navigation runs on the company's own ROS 2 packages, carried over from an earlier ROS 1 lineage, with all processing on board so localisation does not depend on the plant network. The AGVS Management supervisor coordinates routes, intersections and priorities and has prepared integrations with SAP, Totvs and Microsiga. Deployments are sized by simulation before build. Every model carries an NR-12 safety report. Named sectors are automotive, logistics, food and hospital.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Fourth-generation autonomous tow tractor for trailer trains, available in guided AGV or natural-navigation AMR form
Third-generation autonomous pallet stacker navigating by SLAM without tape or reflectors
In-house fleet supervisor coordinating routes, intersections and priorities across the vehicle fleet
