The 23rd RoboCup German Open 2026 is a major robotics competition and scientific showcase taking place 10–14 March 2026 at Koelnmesse (Cologne Trade Fair), Hall 9, in Cologne, Germany. As one of the key events in the global RoboCup calendar, it features competitive leagues that advance autonomous robotics and AI technologies.
Participants compete in a range of disciplines, including:
- Standard Platform League (SPL) – standardized robots with shared hardware to benchmark AI performance.
- Humanoid League (HL) – two-legged autonomous robots compete in dynamic tasks.
- Small Size League (SSL) – fast, coordinated soccer play with compact autonomous robots.
- Logistics League (LL) – robots operate in warehouse-style task simulations.
- @Work League – industrial robotic teams address automated task challenges.
- Rescue Robot League (RRL) – autonomous robots designed for simulated search and rescue missions.
- @Home League – service and assistive robots demonstrate practical domestic tasks.
The event also concludes with finals for the best junior teams from qualifying competitions in Germany, promoting youth engagement in STEM and robotics.
