Zero Zero Robotics is a Chinese consumer drone company co-founded in 2014 by MQ Wang and Tony Zhang, both Stanford PhDs, and headquartered in Beijing with offices in Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and San Francisco. The company specializes in embedded AI technology to develop intelligent aerial devices that combine machine vision with high-precision control systems. In 2016, Zero Zero Robotics debuted the Hover Camera Passport, a foldable, enclosed-propeller selfie drone that was sold in Apple Stores across more than 30 countries.
The company expanded its product portfolio in 2019 with the V-Coptr Falcon, a V-shaped dual-rotor drone offering up to 50 minutes of flight time for aerial photography. In 2022, Zero Zero Robotics launched the HOVERAir brand and introduced the HOVERAir X1, a palm-sized self-flying camera weighing just 125 grams that features a patented fully enclosed propeller design and three-second palm takeoff. Subsequent models, including the HOVERAir X1 Pro and ProMax released in 2024, extended the product line with improved flight performance and an 8K camera option.
Zero Zero Robotics holds more than 140 core industry patents covering innovations such as its enclosed propeller system and dual-rotor propulsion technology. The company raised $25 million in early funding rounds from investors including IDG Capital Partners, GSR Ventures, and ZhenFund. In 2025, the company introduced the HOVERAir AQUA, marketed as the world's first waterproof drone designed specifically for water sports activities.
