Tucson, Arizona stratospheric balloon operator founded 2012; Stratollite platform now integrated into Ondas Holdings after an April 2026 acquisition.
World View Enterprises, Inc. is a stratospheric aerospace company based in Tucson, Arizona, incorporated in 2012. The company built its business around the Stratollite, a high-altitude balloon platform designed to loiter in the stratosphere, roughly 50,000 to 70,000 feet up, while carrying electro-optical, infrared, synthetic-aperture-radar, and hyperspectral sensor payloads for persistent observation missions. In April 2026, Ondas Holdings completed its acquisition of World View, folding the Stratollite platform into what Ondas now markets as Ondas Sentinel, a combined stratosphere-air-ground intelligence offering.
World View's balloon program traces back to the October 2014 StratEx flight, when the company's systems carried Alan Eustace to roughly 135,000 feet for the then-record stratospheric freefall jump. The company later demonstrated stratospheric station-keeping flights lasting 30 or more days and, in November 2025, flew a record-setting mission for Sierra Nevada Corporation, which was also named the exclusive high-altitude balloon provider for the UNITAS 2025 exercise.
Since the Ondas acquisition, World View's balloon technology has been positioned alongside Ondas's other sensing assets for defense, government, and commercial customers, including a March 2026 partnership with Palantir Technologies to combine stratospheric sensing with Palantir's data platform.
