The company was founded in 2008 as RF System Lab by Sean O'Connor (Founder and General Manager) with the mission of bringing affordable, high-quality video borescopes to the industrial market. In June 2018, the company rebranded as ViewTech Borescopes while retaining the RF System Lab product designation for its legacy VJ-ADV model.
ViewTech offers two primary product lines: the VJ-3 and the newer VJ-4 articulating video borescope series. The VJ-3 series includes insertion tube diameters of 1.7mm, 2.2mm, 2.8mm, 3.9mm, and 6.0mm, plus specialty variants including dual camera, far focus, ultraviolet (UV), and infrared (IR) models. The VJ-4 series extends the range down to 0.85mm and 1.1mm diameters, and adds a 3D measurement borescope, triple camera model, and an 8.4mm variant. Both series use joystick-controlled mechanical articulation and feature 6-stage LED illumination, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, tungsten braided insertion tubes, and a removable base with tip holder for rugged field use.
The VJ-4 3D Measurement Borescope provides stereo measurement capability for inspectors who need quantitative defect sizing. The Odin Borescope Report Maker software enables technicians to compile inspection images and findings into structured reports.
