Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions is an Indian deep-tech startup specialising in construction automation and 3D concrete printing. It was founded in 2016 by alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, was incubated at IIT Madras and is headquartered in Chennai. Adithya V S is CEO. The company describes its mission as pioneering India's 3D construction revolution, and its technology has been recognised by the Government of India.
Tvasta develops the full 3D construction printing stack in-house. Its hardware covers gantry, robotic-crawler and robotic-pedestal printing systems. It also develops proprietary cementitious printing materials, slicing and process-control software, and an execution methodology for delivering printed buildings on site. With partner 14Trees, Tvasta has delivered digitally constructed buildings across housing, education, offices and technical infrastructure, according to the partners' joint announcement.
On 30 April 2026 Tvasta and 14Trees, the Holcim-backed 3D printing company, launched Cedar, presented as an AI-ready 3D concrete printer designed for scalable construction automation. Tvasta develops, engineers and manufactures Cedar in India. The printer uses a portal-frame architecture optimised for large sites, with print height up to 10 metres and a footprint extendable up to 240 m2, giving a print volume comparable to existing large-format construction printers. According to the companies, Cedar costs roughly half as much as comparable machines. Because it works with standard concrete mixes rather than proprietary mortar-based materials, they say it can cut material costs by up to five times. 14Trees supplies an AI Companion software layer that optimises mix designs using locally available materials, and markets Cedar through its network in the United States, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Within the partnership, Tvasta is responsible for engineering and manufacturing the printer hardware, while 14Trees contributes material know-how, software and international project delivery. Tvasta's own website, tvasta.construction, is a JavaScript application whose content could not be read for this profile.
