Company Overview

Tuesday Lab is a consumer robotics startup founded in 2023 and headquartered in New York, NY. The company was part of Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch and has raised seed funding of approximately $500,000. It was previously known as Adagy Robotics before rebranding to Tuesday Lab.

The company was co-founded by Rosalind Shinkle, who serves as CEO, and Kathleen Brandes. Both founders previously worked at Boston Dynamics on the Spot robot program, where Rosalind served as a Staff Robotics Engineer on the Spot Manipulation team. Her work there involved engineering the algorithms governing Spot's arm interactions — including inspection of manufacturing lines and precise object placement. The team also includes engineers with backgrounds from Tesla.

Tuesday Lab's core mission is to build robots that autonomously tidy the home. Unlike traditional cleaning robots that are limited to floor vacuuming, Tuesday Lab's approach targets general tidying behaviors — picking up objects, organizing spaces, and restoring rooms to order. The robots are designed to operate autonomously in unstructured home environments while also supporting teleoperation-based human oversight, allowing trained operators to intervene remotely when the robot encounters edge cases or gets stuck.

The company's technical stack integrates computer vision, manipulation algorithms, and autonomous navigation derived from Boston Dynamics research experience. The teleoperation safety layer ensures operators can take control, drive the robot back to a stable state, and help it resume autonomous operation — a critical design choice for deploying robots in the unpredictable and varied home environment.

Tuesday Lab operates as a small team of approximately five employees and is actively hiring for manipulation engineering and co-op intern roles. As of mid-2026, the company is in the product development phase, building and iterating on its home tidying robot platform.
