Swedish startup developing the Drever 120, an autonomous electric tractor with swappable batteries for large-scale arable farming with low soil compaction.
Traktorarvid AB is a Swedish agricultural robotics company founded in 2018 by Arvid Örde, based at Jälla Oxkällan outside Uppsala. The company develops the Drever 120, an autonomous battery-electric tractor designed for heavy fieldwork on large arable farms. The Drever 120 weighs approximately one-third of conventional tractors of equivalent power, significantly reducing soil compaction and improving long-term soil fertility.
It navigates using RTK-GPS with centimeter-level precision and can operate autonomously for 6 to 12 hours per charge depending on implement and workload. The machine uses two swappable battery packs — one in active use while the other charges at the farmyard — with battery swaps performed using a standard loader. Drever's batteries also serve as on-farm energy storage for solar power or grid balancing.
The company has received EU co-funding and support from Sweden's Board of Agriculture. A pilot series of five machines is planned for 2025–2026, with series production targeted for 2027.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Autonomous battery-electric field tractor with swappable battery packs, RTK-GPS navigation, and 6–12 hour operational runtime for large-scale arable farming.
