Company Overview

Toyota Material Handling Group is the materials handling business of Toyota Industries Corporation of Japan, grouping the corporation's lift truck and logistics equipment operations under the Toyota and Raymond brands. Toyota Industries states that it offers lift trucks from 0.5 to 43 tonne capacity in both electric and internal combustion versions and that it holds the largest share of the global lift truck market, and it also sells storage equipment, conveying equipment and carbon-neutral components.

The automation range consists largely of driverless versions of the group's standard trucks rather than purpose-built AGVs alone. Models recorded in the Mobile Robot Directory include the TAE500 automated tow tractor, the SAE160 automated stacker, the RAE160-250 automated reach trucks, the LAE250 automated low-lifter, the CDI120 automated horizontal carrier and the OAE120CB automated counterbalanced truck, together with Mouse and Mole automated guided carts and automated Core Tow Tractor and Center-Controlled Rider trucks sold in North America.

The group is organised regionally. Toyota Material Handling Europe reports five factories, 44 markets and more than 13,000 employees; other regional entities cover North America (Toyota and Raymond brands), China, Japan and international markets. Parent Toyota Industries Corporation reported group sales of 4,369.5 billion yen and 81,808 employees for the fiscal year ended March 2026 across its industrial vehicles and logistics, automobile and textile machinery fields, with 300 subsidiaries and affiliates; the materials handling share of those figures is not broken out on the pages consulted.
