The Astra Machina SL2610 Development Kit won the 2026 Edge AI and Vision Product of the Year Award. In May 2026, Synaptics and Google Research collaborated to demonstrate the Coralboard — powered by the SL2610 — running complex multimodal AI workloads entirely on-device with no cloud connection at Google I/O 2026.
Synaptics' sensing portfolio includes capacitive touchpad controllers (the technology that popularized laptop touchpads in the 1990s), display driver ICs, fingerprint biometric sensors, far-field voice processors, and wireless combo chips for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/UWB. These components are embedded in laptops, smartphones, smart home devices, automotive HMIs, and wearables from major OEMs worldwide.
