SVS-VISTEK GmbH is a German manufacturer of industrial machine-vision cameras and imaging components headquartered in Seefeld (near Munich), Bavaria, Germany. The company was established in 1987 as a distributor of opto-electronic components and transitioned to in-house camera design, development, and manufacturing in 1999, since when it has produced its SVCam camera range exclusively in its own clean rooms at the Seefeld facility.
SVS-VISTEK offers one of the broadest industrial camera lines in Europe, spanning resolutions from VGA to 151.2 megapixels in both area-scan and line-scan configurations. Sensors support CCD and CMOS technologies across GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, Camera Link, and CoaXPress interface standards. The company's SVCam HR series targets high-resolution metrology and semiconductor-wafer inspection, while SVCam EX cameras are engineered for high-speed applications in production lines. Custom-designed and modified cameras for OEM integration are a significant part of the business.
Beyond cameras, SVS-VISTEK's portfolio encompasses the complete machine-vision imaging chain: lenses, LED illumination systems, optical filters, frame grabbers, and imaging software libraries, allowing customers to source a complete vision system from a single supplier. The company distributes globally through a partner network spanning Europe, North America, and Asia, and is a member of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA).
SVS-VISTEK became part of the TKH Group (Netherlands) after TKH's acquisition of 100% of the company's shares. Within TKH's machine vision cluster, SVS-VISTEK subsequently absorbed Mikrotron GmbH, a high-speed camera specialist, expanding its capabilities in high-frame-rate imaging.
Primary application markets served include automotive manufacturing (body-in-white, powertrain inspection), flat-panel display and LCD quality control, semiconductor wafer inspection, pharmaceutical packaging verification, food sorting and contaminant detection, printing quality assurance, traffic monitoring, and optical metrology. The company has approximately 52 employees and maintains technical support teams in Europe and North America.
SVS-VISTEK's integration into the TKH Group has provided access to broader technology resources and accelerated its entry into new markets. The Mikrotron acquisition specifically added expertise in ultra-high-speed cameras capable of thousands of frames per second, complementing the standard SVCam range. Combined, the portfolio covers virtually all industrial imaging speed and resolution requirements, from static metrology to real-time crash-test analysis and high-throughput electronics inspection. SVS-VISTEK cameras are deployed globally in facilities operated by automotive OEMs, pharmaceutical manufacturers, flat-panel display producers, and food-processing companies requiring consistent, traceable quality inspection.
