Supacat is a UK-based specialist engineering company founded in 1980, headquartered at Dunkeswell Aerodrome, Honiton, Devon. The company is part of SC Group, which also includes SC Innovation, Proteum, and Blackhill Engineering. Supacat focuses on the design, development, prototype manufacture, testing, and low-rate production of high-mobility military off-road vehicles and specialist defense engineering solutions, with more than 1,000 battle-proven vehicles delivered to military customers globally.
Supacat's flagship vehicle platforms include the All Terrain Mobility Platform (ATMP), a 6x6 marginal terrain carrier now in its fourth generation with approximately 200 units supplied to armed forces in the UK, Canada, Malaysia, and Mexico since 1982. The High Mobility Transporter (HMT) platform is produced in 4x4 (HMT 400), 6x6 (HMT 600), and configurable HMT Extenda variants. Within the British Army, the HMT 400 is designated the Jackal and the HMT 600 the Coyote. An HMT 800 8x8 variant is also available. In 2024, Supacat secured a contract for an additional 53 Jackal 3e (HMT) vehicles for the UK Ministry of Defence.
On unmanned systems, Supacat has demonstrated an optionally-crewed conversion of the ATMP platform capable of carrying up to 1.6 tonnes with remote operation, developed in partnership with the University of Exeter through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme. In 2024–2025, Supacat signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ARX Robotics, a European uncrewed ground vehicle manufacturer, to collaborate on crewed-uncrewed vehicle teaming and robotic integration into future land operations.
Supacat has also demonstrated the HMT 600 Coyote configured with the AUDS (Anti-UAV Defence System) for mobile counter-drone operations. The company is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Leadership is provided by CEO Nick Ames, who joined in 2003. The company maintains a presence in Australia through Supacat Asia Pacific.
