SUNCALL CORPORATION is a Kyoto-based precision manufacturer founded in 1943 under the name Sanko Senzai Kogyo Co., Ltd., originally producing high-grade steel wire for aircraft engine valve springs. The company adopted its current name in April 1991 and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (5985). Suncall operates as an integrated manufacturer — processing materials all the way through to finished components — and serves automotive, electronics, communications, and robotics-related markets in Japan, North America, and Asia.
The automotive parts division remains the company's largest segment, producing valve springs for engine timing systems, transmission springs, wave rings, spiral springs for variable valve timing, drive plates, ring gears, motor cores, stator cores, reactor coils, bus bars, and sensor rings. These products are supplied to major automakers including Toyota and other Japanese OEMs.
The electronics and communications division produces fiber optic precision parts, paper feed rollers for printers, and suspensions for hard disk drives. A smaller but notable division produces precision cams, probes for electronic circuit inspection equipment, smartphone structural components, and walking assist robots — wearable robotic devices designed to support human gait and rehabilitation. This positions Suncall as a manufacturer with expanding interests in human-assistance robotics alongside its core industrial spring and motor component business.
With deep expertise in precision wire forming, spring engineering, and electromechanical subassemblies, Suncall supplies components to demanding industries where dimensional accuracy and fatigue life are critical parameters. The company maintains manufacturing operations across Japan and internationally in North America and Southeast Asia.
