Stoeger Automation LP is the Americas sales and service subsidiary of STOEGER AUTOMATION GmbH, a family-owned German company founded in 1987 by Lorenz Stoeger in Koenigsdorf, Upper Bavaria. The LP entity is based in Chicago, Illinois, and represents the parent company's screwdriving and fastening product line across North and South America. The German parent employs about 130 people and is now in its second generation of family ownership.
Stoeger designs and manufactures automatic screwdriving and fastening equipment for manual, semiautomatic, and fully automatic assembly lines, including automatic hand-held screwdrivers, inline screwdriving units, riveting and setting systems, and fastener feed units such as bowl, step, and segment feeders capable of delivering up to 100 fasteners per minute. The company's Spatz product is a pick-and-place robot with automatic tool changing built for fastening and small-parts handling. More than 12,000 Stoeger systems are installed worldwide across automotive, electronics, and general industrial assembly applications.
The company holds more than 30 patents in fastening and feed technology.
