Company Overview

Smart Robotics B.V. was founded on 1 May 2015 by Mark Menting and Heico Sandee, starting from a small office at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Today the company is headquartered in Best, North Brabant, in the heart of the Brainport high-tech region. From a founding team of four and one robot, Smart Robotics has grown to a team of over 50 professionals serving customers in more than 15 countries, with 120 or more successful deployments across Europe.

Smart Robotics specializes in AI-powered robotic automation for logistics and warehouse operations. Its product philosophy is built around a technology trinity: advanced AI Vision, Motion control, and Decision-making algorithms working in concert to allow robots to adapt to dynamic and unpredictable warehouse conditions. Products are sold as a complete service: hardware, software, and ongoing support are bundled together, enabling reliable around-the-clock operation.

The Smart Item Picker is the company's core offering — a plug-and-play robotic picking cell that identifies and picks individual items of varying shapes, sizes, and textures, placing them into shipping cartons, onto conveyor belts, or into totes. It serves industries including apparel, cosmetics, healthcare, toys, pharmaceuticals, and general e-commerce, handling the equivalent of more than three employee shifts per day. The Smart Parcel Picker handles unloading and depalletizing of parcels for 3PL markets.

Smart Robotics also offers the Smart Palletizer line in Essential, Advanced, and Premium versions, as well as the Smart Mixed Case Palletizer, which stacks products of varying sizes onto pallets without requiring a pre-determined stacking pattern, handling items up to 20 kg from a sorter feed. In 2026 the company announced new classes of the Smart Palletizer ahead of Interpack. Smart Robotics' RaaS model and continuous software updates make it a flexible partner for warehouse operators facing seasonal demand fluctuations.
