Suzhou-based maker founded 2017 of UltraHive drone docks and Lantern PV cleaning robots for energy inspection, with 100+ projects deployed.
Skysys is a Chinese developer of automated drone systems and solar-panel cleaning robots for energy-infrastructure inspection, founded in 2017 and headquartered in the Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu. Founder Wang Haibin leads the company, and its chief scientist is Dr. Xiao Suzhi. Besides the Suzhou business and hardware R&D centre, it lists R&D centres in Shanghai Lingang, Shanghai Jinqiao, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Qingyuan, plus a Beijing branch and offices in Fuzhou, Xuzhou and Hohhot. The company describes itself as the first Chinese drone-automation supplier to export overseas, with products in use in Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan.
The core product line is drone docking stations sold under the UltraHive name. The UltraHive Mk4 Pro is a fixed charging-and-battery-swap dock weighing 790 kg, rated IP54 and to Beaufort force 6 wind, drawing 2,300 W peak and 350 W standby, and supporting 10 to 30 sorties per day with automatic battery swap for the DJI M350 RTK and charging for multirotors up to 1,200 mm wheelbase. The UltraHive MkZ is a dock for eVTOL and large multirotor drones in which an AGV shuttle moves the aircraft between hangar and pad, with air-cooled fast charging, 80 to 120 minute missions and weight up to 900 kg including the AGV. The range also includes the UltraHive MkY and MkX light charging docks, the UltraPad Mk1 micro dock and the MobileHive Mk3 vehicle-mounted dock. Skysys is an authorized DJI industry dealer and resells the DJI Dock 2 alongside its own docks.
Flight automation runs on the SkyCab onboard computing terminal and the SkyScout cloud dispatch system, which plans routes, schedules sorties and supports grid deployment of docks for a five-minute response radius over 4G/5G networks. Application software covers photovoltaic inspection (PV Inspector), wind turbine inspection, transmission conductor and ground-wire inspection, petrochemical pipeline inspection and urban emergency-security patrol.
Since 2023 the company has added the Skysys Lantern photovoltaic cleaning robots, which use a waterless dry-brush method. The Lantern B1 weighs 17 kg, uses suction adhesion to work on panels inclined up to 30 degrees, is rated IP65, runs 2 hours per charge and can be carried between panel rows by drone. The larger Lantern B2 is a dual-brush unattended model for commercial and industrial rooftops with a base-station charger, 5-hour runtime and a stated cleaning rate of 900 square metres per hour. The Lantern B1 received a Red Dot award in 2026.
Skysys reports more than 100 deployed projects in dozens of cities, more than 40 districts and counties using its low-altitude applications and PV inspection covering over 17 GW of installed capacity. It raised a B round of around RMB 100 million in June 2024 and a B+ round of more than RMB 100 million in June 2025, co-led by Suzhou Port and Shipping Group and Lingang Frontier Investment. It holds China's national-level specialized and sophisticated little giant enterprise designation, names Alibaba and Huawei among its cooperation partners, and in 2026 signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with France's JPA Group.
